Words are powerful, arguably the most powerful force available to humans. Like any other power, we are given the choice to use them constructively or destructively. When written or spoken with sincerity, they have the ability to change our lives. The way we communicate, our words can encourage people to achieve greatness or can heal wounds, cure diseases and uplift humanity.
Unfortunately, the same power when used destructively can destroy healthy environments as well as humanity. It is important to speak our truth, but being mindful of how and what is equally important. Words can practically change everything.
Blessing or Curse
Words can help, heal, hurt, hide, humiliate, harm, hinder, humble and honour. It could be anything for everything starts with the words. There is a famous quote “Words have power, choose them wisely.” It conveys a lot, for both blessing and curse are words, a little ignorance and everything changes.
Considering the powerful nature of words. We must be cautious to speak in a way that expresses respect, politeness and humility. The clearest sign of morality is right speech. Mastering the art of choosing the right words is one of the major steps to success. It is always better to take a few moments to contemplate what we say and how we say it, keeping in mind the impact it will make on the listener.
All the Power
Most of us give words to any passing feeling, thought and intuition. We randomly dump all the contents of our mind without considering the importance of our words.
We waste too much energy gossiping on trivial matters, not realising what impact they can make when putting to the right use.
Words are used for basically all the power that we see in the world for they are the spells, the songs, the speech, the signs and the signature.
Every prayer, curse, blessing and language is powerless without words. All is defined and done with words, we may not discern but that is where all the power rests.

Change and Responsibility
When we first express something in words, we may not understand the impact we are making in this world. An idea without being expressed in words is useless. All that is implemented, all the advancements and all that we know exists because they were expressed in the form of words. Similarly, when something changes it is due to the powerful words that express an idea.
Think of the incredible power that our words hold. Everything that is expressed verbally has the power to change the lives of everyone we share this world with. It is at our discretion to use words that build or demolish. By nature once spoken, they cannot be retracted, speak wisely.
Try to speak the words that are positive, kind, loving, healing, motivating, inspiring and uplifting. Positives will always transform the lives of people around us. We have the power to create an environment of positive energy at any given point. We just need to be cautious of what we say.
Like the “Force” in “The Star Wars,” words are a force that has two sides. The light side and the dark side. The “dark side” is more lucrative than the “light” side. Each one of us gets an option to choose our side at each and every occasion we describe something in words. We should make our best effort to speak words that are beacons of hope, inspiration and encouragement to the listeners. We never know when the power is unleashed and it becomes impossible to rein it again.
Words for Self
We can at best make a conscious effort to use our words wisely. Our words can inspire confidence and fulfil dreams. It is not just about others, it is the same for us as well. When speaking to self, pay the utmost attention, as it is the most vulnerable area.
We have the power to change what others say, someone else may also correct it with positive words.

All you say to yourself, is all the power words have over you. Words in any form could be dangerous, whether spoken, written or mentally accepted. There is no limit to the “power of words,” the more you think the more powerful they are. All the forces have opposites to balance them like positive to negative, dark to light, but words have words. That makes “words” the most powerful of all the forces. Be the words you want to be.
With great words, comes great responsibility, change, power, aspirations, dreams or basically everything.
